No, and it’s the most important thing to know before ordering. The manufacturer calls them crash bar bags because they sit in that area of the motorcycle, but on the R 1300 GS Adventure they attach to the original mounting points built into the side panel, above the radiator. The bars have nothing to do with it: if you have the bars but not the slots on the side panel, they cannot be installed.

Look at the side panel above the radiator, the one with the BMW logo. If you find two slots cut into the panel, one at the top and one lower down, you’re all set: those are the ones.

The manufacturer offers an alternative: the carbon-fiber radiator cover with the dedicated mounting kit, which replaces the panel and includes the attachment points. It is a separate accessory, not included in this package.

No. The manufacturer only states the BMW R 1300 GS Adventure from 2024 onward. The R 1300 GS has different side panels and does not have the mounting points required for these bags.

Five liters per bag, ten in total, with dimensions of 310 × 305 × 120 mm. It’s just the right amount of space for a pair of gloves, rain gear, a puncture repair kit, documents, or tools: a quick-access compartment, not your main luggage.

Inside, there are mesh pockets to keep small items separate, while the outside features a MOLLE panel for attaching pouches or bottle holders.

The outer bag is water-repellent, with treated fabric and a YKK water-resistant zipper: it withstands rain, but the manufacturer does not claim that it is waterproof.

That’s why the package includes one waterproof inner bag for each bag, made of nylon with sealing straps: put documents and electronics inside it and you won’t have to worry about them anymore.

There are two layers of protection. The button that releases the bag from the side panel is inside the bag, so you can’t reach it from outside when the bag is closed. And the zipper has its own keyed lock, so the closed bag can’t be opened and therefore can’t be detached.

It’s still a fabric accessory: it discourages a quick grab, but it doesn’t replace common sense about what you leave inside.

Yes. The cylinder is set up for unified coding with LOBOO side cases: simply provide us with the key number when placing your order, and they will arrive already coded.

If you do not request this, they will arrive with their own dedicated key.

The two empty bags weigh 1.6 kg in total, according to the manufacturer’s stated specifications.

LOBOO does not state the maximum load for each bag, and we prefer to say so rather than invent a number. They hold five litres each and attach to the side panel: they are suitable for light, bulky items, not heavy tools.
