No, and that’s the difference compared with other LOBOO tank bags. The BTB13BK attaches directly to the original mounting points on the BMW R 1300 GS Adventure: no flange to screw onto the fuel cap ring, no separate ring to buy, and no strap around the tank. You don’t need to buy anything besides the bag.

No. It is compatible exclusively with the R 1300 GS Adventure. The bracket is shaped to fit that model’s mounting points, which are not in the same position on the R 1300 GS. If you have the non-Adventure GS, send us the model and year: we’ll point you to the right alternative in the range.

Two-layer security. Above the zipper is a keyed lock that secures the sliders and prevents the bag from being opened quickly. In addition, the quick-release lock is activated and deactivated from inside the bag by turning the ring at the bottom of the compartment: with the bag locked, no one can detach it from the tank.

It protects against opportunistic theft, not a determined attack: during long stops, take valuable electronics with you anyway.

To mount it: align the bracket on the base with the original mounting points, place the bag on it, and press until it clicks into place. To remove it: pull the auxiliary release strap all the way, lift the bag, and disengage the lever on the base. You can do it wearing gloves, in a couple of seconds, without tools.

LOBOO does not declare any IP rating for the bag, so we cannot describe it as waterproof. Rain protection is provided by the included cover, which has a water-repellent coating and sealed seams. The 1680D nylon withstands splashes and light rain; in a storm, the cover must be fitted.

The BTB13BK bag with the mounting bracket already installed on the bottom, the rain cover, a Summit sticker, and a Vintage keychain. Nothing else is needed: the fastening system is integrated into the bag and uses the fittings already present on the motorcycle.

Yes: there’s a dedicated cable port. Keep the power bank or power adapter inside the bag and feed the cable out through the opening, without leaving the zipper partially open—which, on a bag with a lock, would rather defeat the purpose. Cables and power adapters are not included.

The 10-liter main compartment has a lid pocket for documents and keys, plus two mesh pockets on the inner sides for your phone, cycling cap, and small items. At the bottom of the compartment, you’ll also find the ring that activates the anti-theft release lock.

On your first ride, however, test the steering at full lock in both directions with the bag loaded, as you would with any new piece of luggage.

Damp cloth and mild soap; no solvents and do not machine wash. Rinse the mounting bracket after use on dirt roads, because mud and sand in the release mechanism are the most common cause of a stiff attachment. A light coating of dry lubricant on the lock core once a season prevents it from jamming.
