The BCB12BK vintage pannier is a single 12-liter bag made of heavy cotton canvas — 16-ounce canvas — designed for cruisers, scramblers, and vintage motorcycles. The manufacturer states dimensions of 38 × 29 × 14 cm and includes a waterproof inner bag: that is what keeps the contents dry, because LOBOO makes no water-resistance claim for the outer canvas.

Why choose it

  • 16-ounce cotton canvas. Ounces measure how heavy the fabric is: sixteen is a work-canvas weight, not a lightweight backpack weight. This allows the bag to withstand abrasion and retain its shape even when empty.
  • Internal U-shaped support plate. A shaped plate that reinforces the base and sides, so the contents are not crushed when the bag rests against the frame.
  • Quick release with key lock. The bag detaches from the plate in a few seconds and remains locked to the motorcycle when you leave it parked.

What's included and how to install it

The bag's package includes the pannier and one waterproof inner TPU bag, a waterproof plastic polyurethane material. It does not include any of the parts required for installation.

Installing the BCB12BK requires two components sold separately: the BZJ01BK aluminum-alloy mounting plate, measuring 35.7 × 26.2 cm, and the stainless-steel frame specific to your motorcycle. The frame attaches to the motorcycle, the plate attaches to the frame, and the bag attaches to the plate using the quick release. The "Complete Set" configurations on this page contain all three pieces.

Usage limitations

  • The price is for a single bag. To equip both sides, you need two bags, two plates, and two frames.
  • The outer canvas has no stated water resistance. LOBOO does not certify the fabric's waterproofness: waterproofing is provided by the inner bag, which should be used for contents that need protection.
  • The weight is not specified by the manufacturer, and we do not publish an inferred figure. Tightening torques are listed in the manuals for the individual components.
  • The bag cannot be mounted on its own. Without the plate and frame, there is no way to attach it to the motorcycle.
  • Key matching to LOBOO cases must be requested when ordering by providing the key code. This cannot be done afterward.
  • No LOBOO source attributes impact-protection functions to this bag. Impact-absorption performance applies to the inflatable Alps range, not the BCB12BK.

On the bag, this translates into two concrete benefits: it withstands abrasion against the motorcycle frame better and maintains its shape even when empty. This figure is stated by the manufacturer; the weight in grams per square meter is not, so we do not convert it.

Is the bag waterproof?

Not the outer fabric, or at least the manufacturer does not state that it is. The IP rating measures how resistant an object is to water and dust, and LOBOO does not publish one for the BCB12BK; we do not infer it.

Water resistance is provided by the included inner bag, made of TPU, a plastic polyurethane that the manufacturer describes as waterproof. In practice: in the rain, anything that needs to stay dry should be placed inside the bag.

What warranty does the product have?

LOBOO offers a 12-month commercial warranty. However, purchases made on Endurrad are covered by the 24-month statutory warranty of conformity provided for by the Consumer Code, which offers broader coverage.
