The LOBOO purchase panel is explicit: installing the BCB12BK requires three pieces—the bag, the BZJ01BK mounting plate, and the frame specific to your motorcycle. The frame attaches to the motorcycle, the plate to the frame, and the bag clips onto the plate. The Complete Set configurations on this page contain all three.

Which motorcycles is this side bag compatible with?

The bag itself is universal: compatibility is determined by the frame, which is model-specific. LOBOO’s technical panel lists four frames: JF501B01BK for the Honda CM500 from 2022 onward, JF801B01BK for the Voge CU525 from 2024 onward, and JF931B01BK and JF931B01SL, in black and silver, for the Triumph Scrambler 1200XE from 2024 onward. Before purchasing, check the model, year, version, and accessories already installed on the motorcycle.

What do I need to mount it, besides the bag?

Two components sold separately are required: the BZJ01BK aluminum-alloy mounting plate and the stainless-steel frame specific to your motorcycle. The frame attaches to the motorcycle, the plate attaches to the frame, and the bag clips onto the plate. The bag cannot be mounted on its own. The Complete Set configurations on this page include all three pieces at a single price.

What is included in the package?

The manufacturer’s panel indicates one pannier and one waterproof TPU inner bag. Nothing else: the mounting plate and frame are not included and must be purchased separately, or by choosing a Complete set configuration.

Is the price for a single bag or for the pair?

For a single pannier. Even the Complete Set configurations equip only one side of the motorcycle: they include one pannier, one mounting plate, and one frame. To mount panniers on both sides, you need two sets.

Is the bag waterproof? What is its IP rating?

LOBOO does not declare any IP protection rating for the BCB12BK, and we do not publish one by inference. Waterproofing is provided by the included TPU inner bag, which the manufacturer describes as waterproof fabric with good water resistance. In practice: in the rain, anything that needs to stay dry should be placed inside the TPU bag.

How much does the bag weigh?

The weight is not specified by the manufacturer: it appears neither on LOBOO’s technical data sheets nor on the official website, so we are not publishing it. We have asked the distributor and will update the product page as soon as we have verifiable information.

Can it be locked? Can I use the same key as for the LOBOO suitcases?

Yes. The quick-release mechanism includes a keyed lock, so the bag can remain locked to the plate when you leave the motorcycle. The manufacturer also states that the keys can be supplied matched to the key code of LOBOO aluminum cases. If you already own them, provide us with the code when placing your order. This must be arranged in advance, not afterward.

What are the dimensions, and how much does it hold?

The manufacturer states 38 × 29 × 14 cm, that is, 380 × 290 × 140 mm, for a capacity of 12 liters. It is a size for everyday use and light touring: it can hold a jet helmet or an open-face helmet, or a change of clothes, rain gear, and tools. The measurements are taken manually by the manufacturer, which states that deviations are possible.

How long does it take to detach the bag from the motorcycle?

A few seconds and no tools needed. The bag attaches to the BZJ01BK plate with two quick-release buckles: lift it to detach it, while the plate and frame remain mounted on the motorcycle. Reattaching it takes the same motion.

Can I attach accessories to the bag?

Yes. The LOBOO technical panel indicates MOLLE webbing on both sides of the bag, so you can mount MOLLE-compatible pouches and accessories on either side. The manufacturer does not specify a maximum load for the webbing.

Can I leave the plate mounted and use it without the bag?

Yes. The manufacturer shows the BZJ01BK plate used on its own to attach MOLLE accessories, such as a water bottle or a dry bag from the Wanderer range. If you’re traveling light, you can leave the plate and frame installed and mount only the accessory you need.

What is the difference between the BCB12BK and LOBOO Alps side bags?

These are two products for different uses. The BCB12BK is a structured 12-liter vintage canvas bag designed for cruisers and scramblers, with model-specific frame mounting. The Alps are inflatable 23- or 30-liter-per-side panniers with a declared IPX7 rating and shock absorption, designed for adventure motorcycles with 18 mm side racks. If you’re looking for certified waterproofing and touring capacity for long trips, choose the Alps; if you’re looking for a single, stylish, detachable bag for everyday use, choose this one.

What warranty does the product have?

LOBOO offers a 12-month commercial warranty. However, purchases made on Endurrad are covered by the 24-month statutory warranty of conformity provided for by the Consumer Code, which offers broader coverage. In the event of a lack of conformity, contact us: we will handle the claim with the manufacturer.
