The aluminum bar is the part of the handguard that works in front of the lever: it absorbs the impact, deforms, and saves the control. After a serious impact, it must be replaced, and there is no need to replace the entire kit.

A bent bar cannot be straightened

It is designed to deform: that's how it works. But aluminum that has already done its job once does not return to its original condition, and straightening it weakens it exactly where it will need to withstand the next impact. Replace it.
