Description Bluetooth headset for motorcycle helmet with 45 mm driver and IP67 rating

The problem with helmet earbuds isn’t the volume: at 130 km/h, the wind devours the bass and leaves you with a metallic voice. Here, the drivers are 45 mm, with a PET diaphragm and neodymium magnets—the same size found in listening headphones, not the usual 40 mm used in motorcycle earbuds.

The chip is Bluetooth 5.2 and supports a simultaneous connection to two phones, useful if you have navigation on one and calls on the other. The 800 mAh battery is rated for up to 30 hours of music, 22 hours of talk time, and twenty days on standby: with four hours of riding a day, you recharge it once a week. The microphone uses CVC noise cancellation, which works on engine rumble and wind noise while you speak.

The certification is IP67, so dust and heavy rain are no problem. The quick-release system lets you remove the unit from the helmet in one motion: with the HR1 over-ear mount, which LOBOO sells separately, the same unit becomes regular headphones for use on foot.

Will it fit my helmet?

It is a universal system: the unit attaches to the helmet shell, and the speakers go into the cheek-pad compartments. It works with full-face, modular, and open-face helmets as long as there is space for the speakers; on helmets without dedicated recesses, the padding can be reduced or another placement can be considered.

Is it really noticeable at highway speeds?

That’s why it uses 45 mm drivers instead of the usual 40 mm ones: more surface area means more bass, which is the first thing the wind drowns out. The manufacturer claims distortion-free bass even at highway speeds. That said, a noisy helmet and earplugs can significantly affect the result.

How long does the battery last?

The battery is 800 mAh, and the manufacturer claims up to 30 hours of music playback, 22 hours of talk time, and twenty days of standby. In practice, with four hours of driving per day, it needs to be recharged once a week.

Can I keep the navigation device and phone connected at the same time?

Yes: the unit supports simultaneous connection to two phones, so you can keep navigation on one device and calls on the other without pairing again each time.

Will it hold up in the rain?

It is IP67-certified, meaning it is dustproof and water-resistant: a downpour or a day on dusty dirt roads is no problem.

Can they hear me well on the phone?

The microphone uses CVC noise cancellation, which reduces engine rumble and wind noise while you talk. On calls while moving, it makes more of a difference than the speakers.

Can I also use it off the motorcycle?

Yes, and that is this model’s distinctive feature: the unit detaches from the headset and, when mounted on the HR1 over-ear support, becomes a regular pair of headphones for work or travel. The HR1 support is sold separately by the manufacturer.

Is HR1 support included?

No. This listing is for the headset with the helmet mounting kit. The HR1 over-ear support is a separate accessory; if you’re interested, contact us and we’ll source it for you along with your order.

How is it mounted on the helmet?

The speakers fit into the recesses next to the ears, beneath the cheek pads, and the control unit attaches to the shell with the quick-release mount. No tools are needed and nothing needs to be drilled; the speaker cable should be routed beneath the padding.

What warranty does it have?

LOBOO states a twelve-month warranty with free replacement for quality issues. When purchasing through Endurrad, the twenty-four-month statutory warranty of conformity applies, which is more extensive.

What is the difference compared with the R1M intercom?

They are two different products. The R1M is an intercom with a mesh network for up to 24 riders, designed for groups. The R1X is a Bluetooth headset for music, navigation, and phone calls, with larger drivers and the option to detach it from the helmet. If your concern is talking with the group, look at the R1M; if it is hearing well, choose this one.

Do you need an app?

The manufacturer does not indicate a dedicated app: the earpiece pairs via Bluetooth like any ordinary headphones and is controlled using the buttons on the unit.

Premium upgrade on my BMW GS

I installed the JADO S6 on my BMW GS (non-"dedicated" version), and although I don't use the BMW base, the display and features are still top notch.
