Description Switched-power adapter for BMW motorcycles
Code DNLWHS10000 — DENALI code DNL.WHS.10000
Connecting an accessory directly to the battery means it remains powered even when the motorcycle is switched off, with the risk of draining the battery. This adapter draws power from the BMW GPS connector, found on motorcycles equipped with Nav preparation: the accessory turns on and off with the ignition, without terminals on the battery posts.
The Posi-lock connector is already installed, so there is nothing to cut, drill, or solder, and it is CANbus-compatible.
It must be used to control a relay, not to power an accessory directly. Connecting a direct load overloads the circuit, and the CANbus cuts power until the overload is removed. The relay is sold separately as part of the wiring kits.
Keep in mind that on many BMW motorcycles, the accessory circuit has a factory delayed shutoff, and connected accessories follow the same behavior.
