Description Top Case Plate for BMW R 1200 GS Adventure from 2014 and R 1250 GS Adventure from 2019
It is the base that allows a top case to be mounted on the rear luggage rack of the GS Adventure models, which have a different geometry from the standard GS models and require a dedicated code.
Check the version and year
The manual states BMW R 1200 GS Adventure from 2014 and BMW R 1250 GS Adventure from 2019. Standard versions require the JP071W plate, which has its own page: the two are not interchangeable.
How it is attached
The plate uses two clamps that tighten onto the 18 mm tubes of the original luggage rack, plus two dedicated side brackets, one right and one left. It is secured on top with two M6×16 screws and four M6×35 screws.
Nothing needs to be removed from the motorcycle: the manual does not require any removal; all steps are for installation only. The manufacturer specifies that the screws must not be fully tightened during assembly: first complete the adjustments, then apply the torque in sequence, 12 N·m on all M6 screws. The wrench is included, and the manual is available in eight languages, including Italian.
Which top cases can be mounted
The manual lists the PIKE TRACKER, TIBET and CONQUEROR series for this plate. The top case is not included: this page concerns the plate only, and LOBOO aluminum top cases can be mounted only on LOBOO plates and luggage racks.
The rear load has a limit
LOBOO does not specify a maximum load for the plate itself: the limit stated by BMW in the owner's manual for the rear subframe applies, and includes the plate, top case and contents. Recheck the fasteners after the first 100–200 km and make sure the top case does not cover the license plate or rear lights.
The plate material is not specified by any LOBOO source, including the manual.
