The LOBOO JP322W top case plate for Honda CRF 1100 L Africa Twin Adventure is the base onto which the top case attaches.

Attention, mandatory requirement: on this motorcycle, the plate cannot be mounted on its own. LOBOO’s official documentation states that the JP322W requires the JP322B side pannier rack, which is a separate item. Without it, the plate cannot be installed.

On this motorcycle, the plate does not work on its own: LOBOO’s official documentation indicates that the JP322W requires the JP322B side pannier rack. This is the first thing to check before ordering.

It accepts PIKE TRACKER P45 and P36 top cases, in black or silver: these are the P-series models, not the T-series models.

This plate accepts the PIKE TRACKER P45 and P36 top cases, not the P45T and P36T models that fit most other motorcycles.

These are different, non-interchangeable codes: ordering the wrong top case can cost several hundred euros, and it’s an easy mistake to make.

To complete the system, you therefore need three components: JP322B frames, the JP322W plate, and a P Series top case.

It is the highest and rearmost point of the load: exceeding it affects stability more than the same weight in the side cases.

Are side frames required to mount the plate?

No. The assembly manual shows the base secured with four M8×35 screws to the motorcycle’s original rear luggage rack: the side frames appear neither in the steps nor in the parts list.

The plate and side frames are therefore two independent products: you can buy just this one if you are interested in the top case, or add it at any time to a setup with the side cases already installed.

Which version of the Africa Twin does it fit?

The manual cover states that it is for the Honda CRF1100L Adventure Sports from 2020 onward. The standard CRF1100L is not mentioned by the manufacturer.

The two versions have different rear luggage racks, so we do not assume compatibility: if you have the standard version, contact us before ordering and we will ask the distributor for confirmation.

Which top cases does this plate accept?

The PIKE TRACKER P45 and P36 top cases, in black or silver finish. Please note: these are the P45 and P36 series models, not those from the T series. The top case is not included.

Is the top case included?

No: this page sells only the mounting plate, i.e. the interface between the motorcycle and the top case. The top case must be chosen separately from the PIKE TRACKER P36 and P45 models, in black or silver.

How many stages does the assembly have?

Four, all photographed: place the base on the original roof rack, complete the lower fastening, screw the plate onto the base, and check the assembly. It is one of the quickest installations in the catalog.

Do you need to drill or modify the motorcycle?

No: the manual does not specify any drilling, and the mounting is done at the attachment points of the existing luggage rack. The original parts that were removed must be reinstalled according to the torque specifications provided by Honda.

What torque should the screws be tightened to?

The manual specifies 12 N·m for the M6 screws and 18 N·m for the M8 screws. A torque wrench is required but is not included; the service tool, however, is.

Be careful not to confuse these values with those for the side frame of the same motorcycle, which are 12 and 20 N·m.

Are the hardware and tools included?

Yes. The parts list contains ten items: the plate, the base, two M6×14 bolts, two M6×18 bolts, four M8×35 bolts, ten washers, six self-locking nuts, and the service tool.

The only tool you need to have is a torque wrench.

How much weight can I put in the top case?

The plate manual does not specify a limit, but the LOBOO aluminum luggage manual recommends not exceeding 5 kg for the top case, compared with the 10 kg allowed for each side case.

This is a usage limit related to vibrations while riding, and it is explained by the position of the top case: it is higher and farther back, thus having a greater effect on stability. The limit specified by Honda for the rear luggage rack must still be observed.

What material is the plate made of?

The manual for this code does not state it, and we prefer to tell you that rather than choose it ourselves. The PIKE TRACKER series parameter sheet indicates stainless steel or aluminum alloy for the supports, but that is a range-level specification.

Is the assembly manual in Italian?

Yes. The LOBOO manual is published in eight languages, including Italian, with an illustrated parts list and photographs of the four stages. The PDF can be downloaded from this page.

Is the product covered by a warranty?

Yes: the 24-month statutory warranty of conformity provided for by the Consumer Code applies. In the event of a defect, we will handle the claim with the manufacturer.
