The BTC-00 is the Barkbusters clamp set for straight 28.5 mm handlebars: the part that clamps onto the handlebar, plus the bar-end weights and hardware.

The manufacturer specifically lists the Renthal Twin Wall and Barkbusters VSBar as compatible handlebars.

It is not a mounting kit

The manufacturer states this explicitly: no aluminum bar and no protective plastics. It is a component, not a complete system.

If you are starting from scratch, you need a complete mounting kit plus the BSS-00 clamp set, or a complete handguard.

Le istruzioni ufficiali INS-BTC-00 sono allegate a questa scheda.

  1. Verifica con un calibro che la sezione dritta del manubrio sia da 28,5 mm e che il diametro interno del tubo sia da 14 mm.
  2. Rimuovi i contrappesi originali e, se necessario, i morsetti precedenti.
  3. Monta il morsetto sulla sezione dritta, senza serrare.
  4. Inserisci il terminale nell estremità aperta del manubrio.
  5. Fissa la barra in alluminio al morsetto e al terminale, portala in posizione e serra.
  6. Verifica il funzionamento di gas, freno anteriore, frizione e interruttore di arresto prima di partire, poi ricontrolla il serraggio dopo i primi 50 km.

Frenafiletti di media resistenza su tutti i fissaggi. Il produttore considera il montaggio dei paramani un intervento rilevante per la sicurezza, da affidare a un tecnico se non hai dimestichezza.

I have a Renthal Twin Wall: is this the code?

Yes, the manufacturer explicitly lists the Renthal Twin Wall among the reference handlebars for this part number, along with the Barkbusters VSBar. They are handlebars with a straight 28.5 mm section.

What is the Barkbusters VSBar?

It is the variable-section handlebar produced by Barkbusters, with a straight section measuring 28.5 mm. Like the Renthal Twin Wall, it requires clamps sized for that diameter, hence this code.

My handlebar has a different inner diameter than 14 mm: will it fit?

The BTC-00 includes a single terminal size, for an internal diameter of 14 mm. This differs from the BSC-STD, which includes two. If your tube has a different internal diameter, contact us before ordering.

What do I need to buy if I’m starting from scratch?

Not this one. If you don't have anything yet, a complete mounting kit like the BHG-001, plus the BSS-00 clamp set for 28.5 mm handlebars, or a complete handguard, would be best.

Is my handlebar 22 mm or tapered: which code do I need?

For the 22 mm straight version, you need the BSC-STD, or the BTC-22 if you have limited space for the cables. For the tapered version, you need the BTC-06.

I broke a clamp while climbing: can I buy just this one?

Yes, and that’s one of the reasons it exists. Replace the damaged part and keep the bar and plastics.

Should I remove the counterweights?

Yes, because the system also anchors to the end of the handlebar using the included bar-end weights. The Barkbusters replacement for the bar-end weights is code B-066, listed in the catalog.

Do I need to recheck the tightening after installation?

Yes. Barkbusters asks you to check the tightness of all screws again after the first 50 km and recommends using a medium-strength threadlocker on all fasteners.
