Code DNL07KIT010 — DENALI DNL.07.KIT.010 code

On GS models, lighting upgrades are almost always installed at the front, but rear-end collisions happen from behind. This kit addresses that: two T3 pods on either side of the license plate that provide red running and brake lights and switch to amber with the turn signals, distributing light across the motorcycle's width instead of concentrating it in a single point.

The CANsmart controller is included because the rear pods on the R 1250 GS work correctly only through it. The kit also includes license-plate brackets and a wiring adapter: everything you need is included.

The pods use three of the controller's four circuits; the fourth remains available for another accessory.

Why choose it

Sulle GS l'allestimento luci si fa quasi sempre davanti, ma i tamponamenti arrivano da dietro. Questo kit lavora là: due pod T3 ai lati della targa che fanno posizione e stop rossi e passano ad ambra con le frecce, distribuendo la luce sulla larghezza della moto invece di concentrarla in un punto solo.

La centralina è compresa perché i pod posteriori sulle R 1250 GS funzionano correttamente solo attraverso il CANsmart. Nel kit ci sono anche le staffe e l'adattatore di cablaggio: non manca niente.

If I already have a CANsmart installed, do I still need it?

This kit includes its control unit because the rear T3 pods use three of the four available circuits. If you already have a CANsmart with three free circuits, you can connect them to it and purchase the pods, brackets, and adapter separately. If your control unit is already occupied by the auxiliary lights, the second one is genuinely necessary: write to us and we’ll assess your bike’s setup together.

Is it better than buying the pieces separately?

Yes, on the price, but above all on the risk. A lighting setup on a GS brings together three things that need to match: the auxiliary lights, the correct mounts for that model, and the right control unit for that year. Getting one of them wrong means sending the package back and starting over. They’re already matched in the kit.

Can I assemble it myself?

Yes, if you’re comfortable with basic mechanics: there’s no need to cut or splice wires; everything plugs into the original connectors. Allow yourself a relaxed afternoon the first time, especially to route the wiring neatly under the tank.

Premium upgrade on my BMW GS

I installed the JADO S6 on my BMW GS (non-"dedicated" version), and although I don't use the BMW base, the display and features are still top notch.
