Descrizione Cruise control for BMW R 1250 GS, R 1200 GS LC, F 850 GS and F 750 GS
The throttle stays where you leave it, and your right hand can rest. This Kaoko mechanical cruise control replaces the right handlebar end weight: as you open the throttle, tighten the ring with your little finger and the grip maintains the selected opening, even on long stretches of motorway. No electronics, no wiring, and no modifications to the motorcycle.

The kit also fits motorcycles without handguards. It is intended only for liquid-cooled models: the air- and oil-cooled R 1200 GS and R 1200 R use a different Kaoko part number. The R 1250 GS Adventure is not among the models listed by the manufacturer: for that model, and for any special configuration, contact us before ordering.
How it works
The knurled ring screws onto the bar end weight and presses against the throttle grip through a thrust washer. When tightened, it creates the friction that holds the throttle in place; when loosened, the grip moves freely again and closes by itself. It locks the throttle opening; it is not a speed controller: the motorcycle slows down uphill, accelerates downhill, and the device does not disengage automatically when you brake. You can always open and close the throttle by hand, even when the device is engaged.
What you receive and how to install it
The package includes the Kaoko bar end weight with friction ring, the thrust washer, and a 2 mm Allen key. Remove the original right bar end weight, fit the Kaoko one using the original BMW central screw, place the washer between the ring and the grip, and adjust the resistance with the set screw. With the original handguards, the handguard mounts directly to the Kaoko bar end weight.
Do you have Barkbusters handguards on an R 1250 GS, F 750 GS, or F 850 GS? The cruise control is compatible with the Barkbusters BHG-085 mounting kit. All models are in the Kaoko cruise control range.

Premium upgrade on my BMW GS
I installed the JADO S6 on my BMW GS (non-"dedicated" version), and although I don't use the BMW base, the display and features are still top notch.
