Pair of DL2 auxiliary lights: 3,400 lumens and 35 meters of illuminated width, with just 2.7 A of total draw. It is the lightest pair in the DL series, both in terms of size — 51 × 76 mm, 360 grams each — and the load it places on the electrical system.

The DL2 is the only model in the series with the “visibility” beam: at night, it casts a wide, close-range beam in front of the motorcycle; during the day, it is designed to appear as bright as possible to oncoming traffic from any angle. It is not intended to help you see farther; it is intended to ensure you are not invisible in traffic.

Robotized DrySeal sealing, IP68 and IP69K ratings, and 4 mm powder-coated steel brackets. Three-wire DataDim DT connector, plug and play with DENALI wiring harnesses, DialDim, and CANsmart.

The beam color — white, amber, or selective yellow — is selected at the time of purchase: in the DL series, the lenses are not interchangeable.

How does it work, in detail?

Two compact spotlights to be seen: 35 meters of wide light in front of the motorcycle.

A beam designed to be seen

It is the only one in the DL series with the “visibility” beam: at night, it casts a wide, close-range light; during the day, it is designed to appear as bright as possible to anyone approaching you, no matter what angle they view you from. It is not meant to illuminate far ahead—it is meant to ensure you are not invisible.

The smallest in the series: 51 × 76 millimeters

Rectangular body measuring 51 × 76 mm, 51 mm deep, weighing 360 grams. It mounts on handguards, engine guards, mirror brackets, and steering plates, where the larger auxiliary lights in the series do not fit. Draws 1.3 A per light.

DL construction, no discounts

Small but built like its bigger siblings: automated DrySeal sealing with resin inside the cable entry, IP68 and IP69K ratings, 4 mm painted steel brackets, and a polycarbonate lens with an anti-UV coating.

Montaggio e requisiti

Come si monta

Istruzioni complete e note di sicurezza

Attrezzi e viteria. Ogni faretto della coppia ha la sua viteria M8: vite a testa esagonale da 20 mm, rondella, dado autobloccante nyloc e cappuccio copridado, più il codino di cablaggio. Bastano una chiave da 13 mm e una brugola da 4 mm.

Collegamenti. Ogni codino ha tre fili: rosso positivo, nero massa, giallo il segnale di dimmerazione. È il filo giallo che permette a un controller DENALI di gestire la doppia intensità con la tecnologia DataDim.

Coppie di serraggio. DENALI indica 18 Nm per la viteria M8 e consiglia frenafiletti a media resistenza su tutta la bulloneria. Ricontrolla il serraggio dopo i primi 50 km.

Dove montarli. Più in alto stanno i faretti, più lontano arriva il fascio di notte; più in basso, più aumenta la visibilità di giorno. L'allestimento completo mette una coppia a lunga portata in alto e una coppia a fascio largo in basso.

Puntamento del fascio. Metti la moto in piano con una persona in sella, a 7,6 metri da una parete verticale. Misura l'altezza da terra del centro dei faretti e traccia sulla parete una riga orizzontale 5 cm più in basso. Allenta le viti di fissaggio e della cerniera, porta il centro di ogni fascio sulla riga tenendo i due faretti simmetrici rispetto all'asse della moto, poi richiudi. Se non hai spazio puoi lavorare a 1,8 metri, con la riga 1,3 cm più in basso.

Attenzione al cablaggio. Prima di chiudere tutto, gira il manubrio a fondo da entrambi i lati e comprimi la forcella: i cavi non devono mai andare in tensione.

Per il DL2 DENALI dichiara la conformità elettromagnetica R10, CISPR 25, CE e UKCA. Non dichiara invece la certificazione ECE R149 del fascio di guida, che accompagna DL4, DL6 e DL9: il DL2 nasce come luce di visibilità e non come abbagliante supplementare omologato.

I fari supplementari vanno montati in numero pari e simmetrici rispetto all'asse della moto: verifica numero, posizione e condizioni di accensione ammesse dal codice della strada del Paese in cui circoli.

DENALI riconosce 5 anni di garanzia convenzionale del produttore, che si aggiunge ai 24 mesi di garanzia legale di conformità.

A chi usa la moto nel traffico e la priorità è essere visto, a chi ha poco spazio per montare, e a chi ha un impianto elettrico già impegnato. Funziona bene anche come seconda coppia di appoggio su una moto che ha già i faretti principali.

Se lo scopo è illuminare la strada di notte, serve altro: la coppia DL4 arriva a 333 metri, la DL6 a 406.

Is the DL2 approved as an additional high-beam light?

For the DL2 DENALI, it declares electromagnetic compatibility compliance with R10, CISPR 25, CE, and UKCA, but not the ECE R149 certification for the driving beam included with the DL4, DL6, and DL9. The DL2 was designed as a visibility light, not an auxiliary high beam: if you need an approved driving beam, look at the other models in the series.

Is a range of 40 meters too short?

Yes, to illuminate the road—and that's not what it does. The DL2's beam is deliberately wide and close-range: it fills in the roadside ahead of the motorcycle and makes you visible to others. If you're looking for range, the DL4 reaches 250 meters and the DL6 reaches 305.

What is the difference between the DL series and the D series?

The DL series is the newest and most affordable line: one-piece TIR optics and a robotically sealed housing reduce production costs without compromising the LED or optics. It does not have the interchangeable lenses of the D series—the beam color is selected at purchase—but in return it offers more lumens per euro and an IP68/IP69K rating instead of IP67.
