It is the base that allows you to mount a top case on the rear subframe of the F 750 GS and F 850 GS. It attaches to the original mounting points: no drilling, no adapter bracket, and no motorcycle parts need to be removed.

Check the year before ordering

The manual states BMW F 750 GS from 2017 and BMW F 850 GS from 2021. For F 850 GS models registered before 2021, the manufacturer does not state compatibility: if you have one of these, contact us with the year and VIN before ordering.

For the Adventure versions, F 850 GS ADV and F 900 GS ADV, you need the JP032W plate, which has its own page: the rear subframe has different mounting points.

How to install it

The plate consists of two parts, an upper section and a lower bracket, and the package contains everything needed: six spacers, twelve M6 screws in three lengths, eight washers, two nuts, and the assembly wrench.

The manufacturer instructs you to not fully tighten during assembly: first complete all adjustments, then tighten in sequence to 12 N·m on all M6 screws. The manual is available in eight languages, including Italian.

Which top cases can you mount on it

The manual lists the PIKE TRACKER, TIBET and CONQUEROR series for this plate. The top case is not included: this page concerns the plate only. LOBOO aluminum top cases can only be mounted on LOBOO plates and luggage racks, not on supports from other brands.

The rear load has a limit

LOBOO does not state a specific maximum load for the plate: the limit specified by BMW in the owner's manual for the rear subframe applies, and includes the plate, top case, and contents. Recheck the fasteners after the first 100–200 km and make sure the top case does not obstruct the license plate or rear lights.

The plate material is not specified in any LOBOO source, including the manual.

The base that supports the top case, not a secondary accessory

The plate transfers the top case’s weight to the original mounting points on the rear subframe. It is the component that determines whether the top box remains stable when the motorcycle is loaded, on rough surfaces, and at high speeds.

It mounts to the original points without drilling or removing anything from the motorcycle. The material is not specified by any LOBOO source: we prefer to say so rather than choose it ourselves.

This is the JP031W, and the manual states that it is intended for the F 750 GS from 2017 onward and the F 850 GS from 2021 onward. For F 850 GS motorcycles registered before 2021, the manufacturer does not state that it is compatible: if you have one of those, send us the year and VIN before ordering.

If you have an Adventure you need the JP032W instead: the rear subframe has a different geometry, and the two plates are not interchangeable. This is the most common ordering mistake for this family of motorcycles, and it will cost you a return shipping fee.

What do you mount on it: compatible top cases

The plate is the interface between the motorcycle and the top case: on its own, it is of no use, but without it, no LOBOO top case can be attached. The 45-liter PIKE TRACKER P45T fits onto this plate, available in matte black or glossy silver.

The top case is purchased separately, leaving you free to choose later: install the plate today and decide on the capacity once you know how much luggage you really carry.

A loaded top case sits much higher and farther back than the side cases. Every kilogram up there lightens the front end and amplifies the rear's movements: that's why a motorcycle loaded evenly on the sides remains neutral, while with ten kilograms in the top case it becomes nervous on the highway.

This isn't an argument against a top case, but for loading it properly: put light, bulky items inside, such as a spare helmet, rain gear, and a change of clothes. Keep the tools and actual weight low down in the side cases.

Always observe the maximum load BMW specifies for the rear subframe: it includes the mounting plate, top case, and contents.

Come si monta

  1. Posiziona i distanziali sui punti di fissaggio originali del telaietto posteriore. Non c'e nulla da rimuovere dalla moto.
  2. Monta la staffa inferiore con le viti M6x30 e le rondelle.
  3. Fissa sopra la piastra superiore con le viti M6x14 e M6x18, completando con le rondelle e i dadi previsti.
  4. Non serrare a fondo subito: completa prima tutte le regolazioni, poi dai la coppia di 12 N.m in sequenza su tutte le viti M6.
Istruzioni complete e note di sicurezza

Nella confezione: la piastra superiore, la staffa inferiore, sei distanziali da 9 mm, sei viti M6x30, quattro M6x14, due M6x18, otto rondelle, due dadi e la chiave di montaggio.

  • Posiziona i distanziali sui punti di fissaggio originali del telaietto posteriore. Non c'e nulla da rimuovere dalla moto.
  • Monta la staffa inferiore con le viti M6x30 e le rondelle.
  • Fissa sopra la piastra superiore con le viti M6x14 e M6x18, completando con le rondelle e i dadi previsti.
  • Non serrare a fondo subito: completa prima tutte le regolazioni, poi dai la coppia di 12 N.m in sequenza su tutte le viti M6.

Il produttore raccomanda di leggere il manuale e guardare il video prima di iniziare, e di ricontrollare periodicamente il serraggio di tutte le viti.
