The LOBOO CJC521 kickstand plate widens the foot of the Honda XL750 Transalp from 2024 onward and distributes the motorcycle’s weight over a much larger area. The original foot does not need to be removed: it remains enclosed between the base and the upper bracket, secured by three M5×12 screws.

The stock foot transfers the entire load onto just a few square centimetres. On compacted dirt, gravel, wet grass, or asphalt softened by the sun, it sinks, and the motorcycle slowly lowers until it falls over. On the Transalp, which often travels on unpaved roads, this can happen whenever you stop off the asphalt.

How it is made

A CNC-machined aluminium alloy base and an upper bracket made of 304 stainless steel where it clamps onto the original foot. Claimed weight: 148 g. The anti-slip grooves are machined into the sides and underside to prevent sideways movement on sloping ground.

What the manual states

  • Package contents: base, bracket, 3 M5×12 screws, 3 mm Allen key, and threadlocker
  • Tightening torque: 5 N·m, the same value for all three screws
  • Do not fully tighten immediately: make adjustments first, then tighten in sequence
  • Periodically check the fastening screws

The dimensions are not specified by the manufacturer, who also warns that the measurements are taken by hand.

Who is it recommended for

Serve se con la tua Transalp parcheggi abitualmente su:

  • Terra battuta, ghiaia o erba, cioè il terreno delle strade bianche

  • Fondi in pendenza o irregolari, dove la moto tende a scendere lentamente

È particolarmente utile con borse cariche o con il passeggero, quando il peso in sosta è massimo.

È da valutare con attenzione se:

  • Hai un'altra Honda: questo codice è dichiarato solo per la XL750 Transalp dal 2024
  • Parcheggi sempre e solo su cemento o asfalto fresco: il vantaggio si vede meno
  • Ti serve l'ingombro esatto: le dimensioni non sono dichiarate dal produttore

It’s not the motorcycle’s weight that makes it sink

Sinking depends on ground pressure, not total weight. The original Transalp stand foot concentrates the entire load on just a few square centimeters: on compacted soil, gravel, or wet grass, it sinks.

The plate distributes the same load over a much larger area. It does not eliminate the risk: assessing the surface where you park remains your responsibility.

LOBOO declares a lossless installation, designed around the vehicle's original data: the stock foot does not need to be removed and is enclosed between the base and the upper bracket, secured by three M5×12 screws.

No drilling, no welding. To return to the original setup, just remove three screws — this matters if the motorcycle is still under warranty.

The base is made of CNC-machined aluminum alloy, while the upper bracket is made of 304 stainless steel. This is not an aesthetic choice: the bracket is the part that clamps onto the original footpeg and bears the load every time you set the motorcycle down.

The stated weight is 148 g. CNC machining is mainly used to ensure precise hole alignment: if the holes are not positioned within a millimeter, the plate sits at an angle.

The grooves are machined into the sides and bottom. They prevent lateral slipping: on a sloping surface, a smooth plate can slide, and widening the support without providing grip would solve only half the problem.

The manual gives a single value for all three M5×12 screws: 5 N·m. The package includes the 3 mm Allen key and threadlocker, so nothing else is needed.

The manufacturer asks you not to fully tighten everything immediately: first set everything up, then tighten in sequence, and check periodically.

The manual specifies a single application: Honda XL750 Transalp from 2024 onward. The side-stand foot has a specific shape for each model, and LOBOO codes are not interchangeable.

Does the original kickstand foot need to be removed?

No. The LOBOO manual describes a lossless installation: the stock foot remains in place, enclosed between the base and the stainless-steel bracket and secured with three M5×12 screws. No drilling and no permanent modifications to the motorcycle.

What tools are needed, and what’s included in the package?

The manual lists five items: base, bracket, three M5×12 screws, a 3 mm Allen key, and threadlocker. To comply with the specified torque, 5 N·m on all three, a torque wrench is required: it is a low value, and it is easy to exceed it by hand on M5 screws.

Does it fit other Honda models?

No. The manufacturer specifies code CJC521 only for the Honda XL750 Transalp from 2024 onward. For the CB500X, CB400X, NX400, and NX500, the code is CJC292; for the Africa Twin CRF1100L, it is CJC321; and for the X-ADV 750, it is CJC332. The side-stand foot has a specific shape for each model: write to us and we’ll tell you which one is right.

Can I install it myself, or do I need a mechanic?

It is within the reach of anyone with basic DIY skills: three screws, no drilling, and no need to remove any motorcycle parts. The Allen key is included; you only need a torque wrench for the 5 N·m. The illustrated manual in eight languages is included.

Is it really worthwhile if I mainly use the Transalp on the road?

The most common situation is not off-road terrain but hot summer asphalt: softened bitumen gives way beneath the small surface area of the original foot, and the motorcycle slowly sinks. The same applies to gravel in parking lots and stops on grass. If you always park only on concrete or cool asphalt, the benefit is smaller.

How much does it weigh, and how big is it?

The stated weight is 148 g. The dimensions, however, are not provided, and the manufacturer warns that measurements are taken manually and may have tolerances. If you need the exact dimensions, ask us and we will measure the item in stock.

Does it interfere with the center stand?

No: the plate only acts on the side stand and has no effect on the geometry or operation of any center stand. They are two independent systems.

Change the parked motorcycle's lean angle?

A little, yes. Adding thickness under the foot slightly raises the support point, so the bike remains a bit more upright. LOBOO states this for the entire range and considers it an advantage: a loaded bike tends to lean more than necessary, and a few degrees less makes it easier to bring back upright.

Is maintenance required after assembly?

The manufacturer asks you to check the fastening screws periodically, in addition to checking them after the first few uses. This part bears the weight of the motorcycle every time you park it, and the threadlocker provided is intended specifically for this purpose.

I'm not sure it will fit my motorcycle—what should I do?

Contact us before ordering with the motorcycle’s model, year, and version. If you’re unsure about your kickstand foot, send us a photo and we’ll check it for you. It’s faster than making a return.

Is it an original LOBOO product, and how does shipping work?

Yes: genuine new LOBOO product in the manufacturer's packaging, purchased through the official distributor for Italy. The code CJC521 is engraved on the base of the item. Tracked shipping throughout Italy, free on orders over 100 euros; in Europe, over 250 euros.

What warranty does it have, and can I return it?

The product is covered by the 24-month statutory consumer guarantee of conformity. In the event of a defect, we will handle the claim with the manufacturer. You also have 14 days from receipt to exercise your right of withdrawal by returning the product intact and in its original packaging.
