Kit for upgrading the rear visibility of BMW R 1300 GS from 2024 and R 1300 GS Adventure from 2025: a pair of T3 switchback pods, the license plate bracket, and the wiring harness that connects them to the CANsmart controller.

Each pod performs three functions in a single 74 × 29 × 13 mm housing: red running light at 25%, red brake light at 100%, and amber turn signal, with a 180-degree viewing angle and E-Mark approval for all three functions.

An already-installed CANsmart controller is required and is not included; for this motorcycle, it is the DNLWHS25900. The pods connect to the controller and are configured for «Run / Brake / Turn» without tapping into the original wiring.

How does it work, in detail?

Position, brake light, and turn signal in a single pod, controlled by the control unit without touching the original system.

Three functions in a 74-millimeter pod

Six high-power LEDs per pod, in two single-color rows: red at 25% for the running light, red at 100% when braking, and amber at 100% as the turn signal. A 180-degree viewing angle and E-Mark approval for all three functions.

The included license plate bracket positions them on either side of the plate, where they can actually be seen from behind.

No original thread to derive from

The included CANsmart wiring harness connects the pods to the control unit, and the circuit is configured in the software as “Run / Brake / Turn.” No Posi-Taps on the turn-signal and brake-light wiring, no wires to identify with a tester, and no anti-flicker resistors.

On the R 1300 GS, where the electronics are even more integrated, it is the clean way to add rear visibility.

A CANsmart control unit is already needed

Good to know before ordering: the kit includes the pods, license plate holder, and wiring harness that connects them to the control unit, but not the control unit itself. For the R 1300 GS and GS Adventure, it is the DNLWHS25900, which must be purchased separately if you don't already have it.

It is the natural complement for anyone who has already equipped the front end with a fog light kit and CANsmart: the remaining free channel is intended exactly for this.

Compatibilità dichiarata. BMW R 1300 GS dal 2024 e R 1300 GS Adventure dal 2025.

Serve già una centralina CANsmart. È la cosa da sapere prima di ordinare: il kit comprende il cablaggio CANsmart per i T3, non la centralina. Se sulla moto non c'è già una CANsmart, va acquistata a parte — per la R 1300 GS è la DNLWHS25900. Questo kit è pensato per completare la visibilità posteriore di un allestimento già avviato.

Montaggio dei pod. I pod modulari si fissano al supporto portatarga in dotazione, che li posiziona ai lati della targa. Frenafiletti a media resistenza sulla viteria e controllo del serraggio dopo i primi 50 km.

Collegamento. Con il cablaggio dedicato i pod si collegano alla centralina e nel software si imposta il circuito su «Run / Brake / Turn»: non si deriva nulla dall'impianto frecce e stop originale.

Cosa fa ogni colore. Rosso al 50% come luce di posizione, rosso al 100% in frenata, ambra al 100% come indicatore di direzione. Sei LED per pod, tre rossi e tre ambra su file separate, 180 gradi di angolo di visione, con omologazione E-Mark su posizione, stop e freccia.

Prima di richiudere. Comprimi le sospensioni e verifica che i cavi abbiano gioco con il codone rimontato.

DENALI riconosce 5 anni di garanzia convenzionale del produttore sui componenti di questo kit. Si aggiunge, e non sostituisce, i 24 mesi di garanzia legale di conformità previsti per legge.

I pod T3 hanno omologazione E-Mark dichiarata su luce di posizione, luce di stop e indicatore di direzione. Resta a carico di chi installa la verifica di quanto previsto dal codice della strada su posizione e visibilità dei dispositivi.

Restano esclusi dalla garanzia usura normale, abrasione, uso improprio, installazione errata, incidenti, modifiche e smontaggio dell'elettronica.

A chi ha già una centralina CANsmart sulla R 1300 GS o GS Adventure e vuole completare l'allestimento dietro. Se hai montato un kit faretti con CANsmart, il canale rimasto libero serve esattamente a questo.

Se la centralina non ce l'hai, va acquistata a parte: è la DNLWHS25900. In alternativa i pod T3 si possono collegare al cablaggio originale con i connettori Posi-Tap, ma serve riconoscere i fili con il tester e valutare le resistenze antilampeggio.
