Description B6 plug-and-play dual brake light kit for Ducati DesertX LAH2210700

Code LAH2210700 — DENALI code LAH.22.10700

The complete brake light setup for the Ducati DesertX: two B6 pods on either side of the license plate, 1,740 lumens in total, with dedicated mounting plates and the specific wiring adapter already included in the kit.

Two lights spaced apart are easier to interpret than a single point: the rider behind you perceives the motorcycle's width, and therefore its actual distance. Dual circuit — running light at 50%, brake light at 100% — six LEDs per pod, 180-degree viewing angle, IP67 rating.

In the kit: 2× B6 brake light pods (DNLB6003), 1× dual mounting plates for B6 modules (LAHDRL10100) and 1× wiring adapter for DesertX (DNLWHS24000). The plates attach the modules to either side of the original license plate holder, which remains in place.

If one light is enough for you, a single-pod version is available: code LAH2210600. Note, however, that it replaces the license plate holder, while this one does not.

Who is it recommended for

A chi viaggia carico. Con borse morbide, bauletto o sacca sul portapacchi la coda si restringe: due luci larghe restano leggibili anche quando il centro è coperto.

A chi vuole tenere il portatarga originale. A differenza del kit singolo, questo non sostituisce il supporto targa: i moduli si affiancano con le placchette dedicate.

Two light sources are easier to see than one

Two lights on either side of the license plate give those following you information that a single light cannot: the motorcycle's width, and therefore the actual distance. That's why cars have two brake lights rather than one. In total, 1,740 lumens, twelve LEDs, with a 180-degree viewing angle on each side.

The two modules remain lit at 50 percent as position lights and increase to 100 percent when braking, synchronized with the original brake light. This is not a light that comes on only when you brake: it is a wider, more visible tail light for the entire time you are moving.

The kit includes two bare B6 pods, the mounting plates that secure them to the sides of the license plate, and the wiring adapter designed for the DesertX brake-light connector. The latter plugs in-line into the stock connector, so installation is reversible and requires neither splicing nor a tester.

What exactly is in the box?

Three codes: two B6 brake light pods (DNLB6003), the double mounting plates for B6 modules (LAHDRL10100), and the wiring adapter specific to the DesertX (DNLWHS24000). The plates are mounting brackets for the modules, not a replacement license plate holder: the plate remains on the motorcycle's original holder.

What’s the difference compared with the single-light version?

It’s not just an extra light: it completely changes the setup. The single LAH2210600 kit includes a license plate holder with the light already integrated and replaces the license plate holder. This kit, on the other hand, leaves the original license plate holder in place and attaches two modules to its sides using the dedicated plates, delivering 1,740 lumens instead of 870.

What changes when connecting it to a CANsmart controller?

Two functions are unlocked that aren't available with the direct connection: programmable brake flashing, which makes braking much more noticeable to those behind you, and automatic activation of the brake light during deceleration, even when you slow down using engine braking without touching the brakes.
