Description LOBOO CHG332 Crash Bar for Honda X-ADV 750 | 304 stainless steel, Ø 22 mm tube

The X-ADV has wide bodywork and a low center of gravity, which makes it very comfortable in the city but vulnerable when stationary. A misplaced foot in a parking lot or a slide on a dirt road is enough to scratch the side panels and mark the footboard, while the bodywork bill can easily exceed the cost of this crash bar.

The LOBOO CHG332 crash bar is a lower structure that wraps around the bottom of the motorcycle and takes the impact instead of the plastic panels. It is made of 304 stainless steel: it is not painted steel that begins to oxidize as soon as the paint chips, so it withstands salt, rain, and mud without rusting.

The tube measures Ø 22 mm with a 2 mm wall thickness. It is a balanced choice: robust enough to work in a fall, yet slim enough not to visually weigh down the X-ADV’s front end, which has a very sculpted design.

The finish is matte silver, achieved through sandblasted electropolishing, and is designed to complement the motorcycle’s aluminum and exposed details rather than contrast with them.

Installation is non-destructive: LOBOO states that it was developed using the vehicle’s original data and attaches to the existing mounting points, with no drilling or cutting.

Why choose it
Who is it recommended for

How does it work, in detail?

Install an engine guard designed for the X-ADV, not an adapted one

Install an engine guard designed for the X-ADV, not an adapted one

LOBOO states that it developed the CHG332 using the original data for the Honda X-ADV 750 from 2021 onward: the holes align with the frame’s mounting points, and the tube follows the fairings’ profile instead of protruding randomly.

That is the difference between a dedicated engine guard and a universal bar bent just to make it fit. X-ADV models from before 2021 have different mounting points and are not among the declared compatible models.

Protect the motorcycle without modifying it

Protect the motorcycle without modifying it

No drilling, no cutting of the plastics: the skid plate bolts onto the mounting points already provided on the motorcycle. LOBOO calls it easy to install precisely because it doesn’t require removing half the bodywork.

The advantage becomes clear when you sell the X-ADV: remove the bar and the motorcycle returns to exactly how it was when it left the dealership.

It also covers the upper part of the side panel.

It also covers the upper part of the side panel.

The structure does not remain compressed at the bottom: it rises along the side up to the seat area, where the bodywork is wider and more exposed when the motorcycle falls over.

It is the part that makes the difference in a stationary fall: without the bar, the first point of contact is directly on the painted plastic.

Check the welds: that’s where a cheap bar fails.

Check the welds: that’s where a cheap bar fails.

On a paramotor, the tube rarely bends on its own: what gives way is the weld bead between the tube and the mounting plate. LOBOO shows the joint up close and states that the welds are full and even.

This is also where 304 stainless steel really matters: on painted steel, rust starts precisely at the welds, where the coating is thinnest.

Check where the bar passes before ordering

The manufacturer’s installation images show the structure’s routing on both sides: it starts near the radiator, runs along the lower fairing, and closes beneath the engine.

They help you understand how far it protrudes laterally and whether it interferes with accessories you have already installed in that area, such as aftermarket stands or additional protective guards.

Evaluate the effect on the finished motorcycle

Evaluate the effect on the finished motorcycle

The matte sandblasted silver does not shine like chrome: it complements the exposed aluminum finishes that the X-ADV already has on the engine cover and guards, instead of adding a foreign element.

On a highly sculpted motorcycle like this, it is a detail that matters: the Ø 22 mm tube remains discreet even when the motorcycle is stationary.

Read the data before comparing prices

Read the data before comparing prices

304 stainless steel, Ø 22 mm tube with a 2 mm wall, sandblasted electropolished finish, compatible with the Honda X-ADV 750 from 2021 onward. These are the specifications LOBOO publishes on the technical panel.

When comparing two engine guards, the material matters more than the price: 304 stainless steel does not rust after the first scratch, whereas painted steel does. LOBOO does not state the weight or tightening torques.

FAQs

For more information, please see our FAQ.

Which X-ADV is the CHG332 compatible with?

For the Honda X-ADV 750 from 2021 onward. LOBOO states that this was developed using the original specifications of this motorcycle, so it is not an adapted universal bar. Earlier X-ADV models are not among the listed models: if you have a version from before 2021, contact us before ordering.

What exactly does it protect?

The lower part of the bodywork and the engine area: on the X-ADV, the side panels and footboard are the first parts to touch down when the bike falls over in a parking lot or slides on a dirt road. They are also the most expensive parts to replace because they are large and painted.

Is it the top bar or the bottom one?

It is the lower protection, which works in the lower area around the engine. For the X-ADV 750 LOBOO, it does not produce an upper bar: this is the complete engine guard it offers for this model.

What material is it made of?

304 stainless steel. It is a tangible difference compared with painted steel bars: they start to rust as soon as the paint chips, which happens to a crash bar on the first impact. Stainless steel withstands salt, rain, and mud without oxidizing.

Why is the tube 22 mm and not thicker?

LOBOO describes it as a balanced choice: the Ø 22 mm tube with a 2 mm wall thickness performs well in a fall without making the front end of the X-ADV look visually heavier, given its highly sculpted lines. A thicker tube would have provided the same protection but would have looked bulky on a motorcycle with these proportions.

Do you need to drill or modify the motorcycle?

No. LOBOO states that it installs non-destructively using the existing mounting points: no drilling, no cutting of the plastics. Removing the engine guard returns the X-ADV to its original configuration, which matters when you resell it.

Is it also available in black?

No: for the X-ADV 750 LOBOO, it produces only the matte silver finish, achieved through sandblasted electrolysis. It is designed to complement the motorcycle's aluminum and exposed details. For other models, the manufacturer also offers black, but not for this code.

Does it rust from winter road salt?

304 stainless steel is chosen precisely for this reason: it resists corrosion even after years of rain and mud, and it doesn’t fear scratches the way a painted tube would. On a motorcycle used year-round in the city, it’s the difference you can see after two seasons.

Can I attach bags or clamp-on accessories to it?

The tube is Ø 22 mm, so it falls within the 22–28 mm range of the LOBOO Wanderer crash bar bags, which are designed for adventure motorcycles. On the X-ADV, first check that there is enough clearance behind the bar and that the bag does not interfere with the footrest. If you have any doubts, contact us.

How many pieces are in the package?

LOBOO does not state the number of components or provide a hardware list for this code. Since this is a guard that wraps around both sides, there are normally two components, but we prefer not to state this as certain: ask us before ordering, and we will check a package in stock.

How much does it weigh?

The manufacturer does not state the weight of the CHG332. We prefer to say so rather than provide an estimate; if you need the figure, contact us and we’ll weigh it in our warehouse.

What are the tightening torques?

LOBOO does not publish a torque specification manual for this product. Install all the brackets loosely, align the structure, and only then tighten the screws to the specified torque. Check the tightness again after the first few rides, especially if you use the motorcycle on rough roads.

How well does it hold up in case of a fall?

The manufacturer does not publish load or impact tests for this code, so we make no claims about its strength. What it does specify is the construction: 304 stainless steel with a Ø 22 mm tube and a 2 mm wall, designed to absorb the impact instead of the bodywork. An engine guard reduces damage; it does not eliminate it.
