All you need to know before ordering
Technical specifications, equipment, delivery, and warranty: find every detail, verified against official LOBOO documentation, below.
The CHG102 is the LOBOO crash bar for the BMW C 400 GT: two side bars joined by a lower crossbar that absorb impact instead of the body panels. On a maxi-scooter, these are the largest and most expensive parts of the motorcycle, and the first to touch the ground when it falls over while stationary or is hit in a parking lot.
The kit is not just for protection: the package also includes four rubber footrests, two per side, which replace the original ones and improve grip and vibration damping.
The material is Q345B steel with a Ø 22 mm tube and a 1.5 mm wall thickness, finished with electrostatic powder coating, for a stated weight of 3.6 kg. It is carbon structural steel, not stainless steel: corrosion protection comes from the coating, so if the paint is scratched after contact, it is best to touch it up rather than leave the metal exposed.
Installation involves seven steps, identical on both sides, using the mounting points already present on the scooter: no drilling and no modifications to the original structure. All kit screws must be tightened to 7 N·m.
Regarding compatibility, we are transparent: both the installation manual and the Italian distributor state BMW C 400 GT from 2025 onward, while a graphic panel from the manufacturer lists 2021. We publish the more conservative range and have requested confirmation. If your C 400 GT is from before 2025, write to us before ordering instead of relying on the product listing.
A crash bar reduces damage from a side impact or a stationary fall, but does not eliminate it: LOBOO does not publish load tests for this part number, so we do not claim any resistance thresholds. Endurrad is the retailer, not the manufacturer.
