The plug-and-play wiring harness for SoundBomb horns, in the short 90 cm version designed for cruisers and naked bikes, where the horn and battery are close together and the universal wiring harness would otherwise be left entirely coiled under the seat.

No cutting, soldering, or crimping is required, provided the original horn has blade connectors. In-line 30 A mini fuse, integrated relay socket, vinyl protective sheath, and additional connections for custom installations.

Included in the price: the wiring harness, two Posi-Tap connectors, two male and two female crimp terminals, and the 30 A mini ATM fuse.

The 5-pin relay is not included: it is already supplied with the SoundBomb or split SoundBomb horn.

How does it work, in detail?

Fuse wiring harness for installing the SoundBomb on a V-Twin.

Ninety centimeters, not one hundred sixty-five

It is the same wiring harness as the universal kit, but 75 centimeters shorter. On a cruiser or a naked bike, where the horn is less than a meter from the battery, the long harness has too much slack: it ends up coiled under the seat, where it gets damp and gets in the way when you need to work on it again. This one just lays flat.

Nothing to cut if the connectors are blade-type.

On motorcycles whose original horn has blade connectors, the wiring plugs straight in: no cut wires, no soldering, no crimping. It still includes two Posi-Taps and four male and female spade terminals for systems that are exceptions. A 30 A mini ATM fuse is already inline, with vinyl sheathing along the entire length.

Istruzioni complete e note di sicurezza

Prima di ordinare, misura. Il percorso reale del cavo dalla batteria al punto dove monterai il clacson deve stare dentro i 90 cm, seguendo il telaio e non in linea d'aria. È l'unico controllo che conta, perché elettricamente questo cablaggio è identico a quello universale.

Il collegamento. Se il clacson originale ha i connettori a lama, il cablaggio si innesta al loro posto senza modifiche. Il relè, che arriva con il clacson, va nello zoccolo già presente sul cablaggio, e il fusibile mini ATM da 30 A è in linea sul positivo.

Se l'impianto fa eccezione. Per i casi in cui i connettori non siano a lama, in confezione ci sono due Posi-Tap e quattro faston da crimpare.

A chi ha una cruiser o una naked. Se fra clacson e batteria c'è meno di un metro, questa è la lunghezza giusta.

Non a chi ha una maxi enduro. Su una GS, una Ténéré o una Africa Twin il percorso è più lungo e 90 cm rischiano di non bastare: lì va preso il DNLELC10000 da 165 cm.

Non a chi ha il CANsmart. Con una centralina DENALI il clacson si comanda da un suo circuito e questo cablaggio non serve.

Is this wiring harness only for Harley and V-Twin?

No, and the name can be misleading. It does not change electrical compatibility compared with the universal wiring harness: only the length changes, 90 cm instead of 165. It works on any motorcycle where the horn and battery are within that distance, typically cruisers and naked bikes. On a maxi enduro such as a GS or a Tenéré, it may be too short: you need the DNLELC10000 there.

Is the relay included?

No. The wiring harness has the socket ready, but the 5-pin relay is not included in the package because it already comes with the SoundBomb or split SoundBomb horn. If you buy the wiring harness alone to replace yours, also get the relay.

Is it also needed if I have a CANsmart controller?

No. The CANsmart control unit powers and operates the horn directly from one of its circuits, so neither this wiring harness nor the relay is needed. This wiring harness is the alternative option for those who do not have the CANsmart.
