C36 is the bidirectional battery charger designed for motorcycles and scooters: it works as an intelligent charger/maintainer and, when needed, as a stable 12–13.6V power supply (power supply mode) for battery replacement, diagnostics, or powering accessories in the workshop/garage.

Use and connections

For charging: connect to the terminals (red + / black −) or use the permanent eyelets with SAE connector. For Power Supply mode: connect to the mains and to the motorcycle with the battery disconnected or via the points provided by the manufacturer; set the voltage and do not start the engine while the power supply is active.

What is the difference between "Charge" and "Power Supply"? In Charge mode, it restores and maintains the battery; in Power Supply mode, it provides stable voltage to the motorcycle during diagnosis/battery replacement without discharging the battery.
Can I use it on LiFePO4? Yes, by selecting the LiFePO4 profile (if available) and only with batteries equipped with BMS.
Does it work with a BMW DIN socket? With a DIN→SAE adapter and the appropriate mode. For maximum effectiveness, connect directly to the terminals using the eyelets.
Can I start the engine with the C36 connected? No: it is not a starter motor. Disconnect or turn off the unit before starting to protect the charger and electronics.
Can it recover a very low battery? The reconditioning function can help partially sulfated lead batteries; if the voltage is too low or the battery is damaged, it may not be able to restore it.
