When tightened, it holds the throttle at the selected opening; when loosened, the grip is free again and closes by itself. It locks the throttle opening; it is not a speed regulator: the motorcycle slows uphill, accelerates downhill, and does not disengage automatically when you brake. Remove the original right bar-end weight, install the Kaoko one, and adjust the ring resistance with the 2 mm Allen key.
