When tightened, it holds the throttle at the selected position; when loosened, the grip moves freely again and returns to the closed position on its own. It locks the throttle position, not the speed: the motorcycle slows uphill, accelerates downhill, and the device does not disengage automatically when you brake. Remove the original right bar-end weight, install the Kaoko one, and adjust the ring resistance with the 2 mm key.
